Duffers Guide to the
feedback form
It is always a bit disconcerting when you need a guide to help
you fill in form.Dont worry, the form is pretty self explanatory.
There are just one or two pointers that may help you give us
the
info we are looking for.
What is it for?
Well Information gathered from these forms will be used to help
the Council decide on the allocation of chart rated events for
next year. (see the Duffers guide on the chart
selection process)
What is is not for?
IT IS NOT a complaint form. If you have a need to register
a complaint about a competition, or anything that requires
immediate attention, you should contact either nscevents@eada.org.uk
or secretary@eada.org.uk
Who knows who has given feedback?
There is the option to put your name on the form, but you
don't have to.
The info gathered will be open to council members only. The
feedback may be presented to promoters, but no names - who
said what etc will be given out. Our lips are sealed!
Filling in the form
Any section that has a juicy big red * next
to it is a bit that you have to fill in. If you skip one
of these, the form
will not be submitted.
So lets quickly go through the some of the questions, and
explain what we're after:
1 Date
Duh - we want the date of the comp. Don't go all American on
us now, put day, month, year.
2 Venue
You don't have to be too specific, just the city will do,
we don't need the full address.
3 Age group
There may be more than one age group taking part. It is possible
that a day that was FAB for juniors was a nightmare for
SeniorII so just tell
us the age group that YOU entered.
A number of questions have ask you for your opinion on a
sliding scale from very poor to excellent. Generally speaking
assume 'Very poor' is something that would dissuade
you from taking part next time, and Excellent may persuade
you to return, and that " Acceptable" is - er acceptable.
That will help.
If you have no experience or opinion on one area , for example
you get to a question like "male toilets" and being a Lady
you
didn't
use it (or
you're
an
immensely
shy
fellah)
-
just
leave it blank.
Q 8
Were single sex changing facilities available?
This means not just a sign on the door ignored by all, but
was the option to change in a single sex environment
genuinely available?
The next few questions are straight forward, so lets skip
them for now...
Q 11 the Music
The Music - what we mean here is did you like the tracks
they played? Did they make you want to get up and dance ?
The sound quality - Was it a good sound, or did it sound
like it was being played through a tin can attached to a
bit of string? (think also here about the announcements,
could you understand them or did you think he said a train
was
approaching platform 6)
Hopefully the rest is simple to fill in.
Oh by the way, we want OBJECTIVE feedback.
If you just tick all the boxes marked "very poor" your form will
not be taken into
account.
