Bournemouth

Bournemouth was warm, sunny and alive with dancers of all ages. This is a competition that we all look forward to. There was a good turn out in both the Juniors and the adults and especially in the senior events.

The afternoon started off with the seniors who had to have their competition run in 3 heats. Where they get all their energy from I don't know as they made me tired just watching. This was closely followed by the junior 10 dance event and again this was fiercely fought competition.
As this was an afternoon/evening event we were able to watch the finest of British dancing....the juniors right through to the seniors and it was no less than spectacular.

The mayor of Bournemouth was also amoungst the spectators and I had the pleasure of speaking with members at the table who thought this was a wonderful sight and they enjoyed the whole evening. One particular lady was so interested to find out that no fewer than 4 children were locals and the winners of the Amateur Modern were also from the town.

The CCADA organised a well run event and the raffle prizes were well worth waiting for.

Our judges for the day were: Bryan Allen(chairman), Alison Fulham, Denise Weavers, Snieguole Wood, Benoit Drolet, Stephen Hilliar and Mr Oswickology himself - Grham Oswick.
