STRICTLY COME DANCING
25 NOVEMBER 2006
After weeks of anticipation, the big day had
arrived and we set off to London to dance live on the Results
Show.
We spent Friday afternoon at Wood Lane where we practised the
routine and gave it the finishing touches:

We were then taken to Studio 1 at BBC TV Centre where we did
a camera rehearsal. It’s all a lot smaller than it looks
on TV.
None of us slept too much on Friday night and at 2.00 pm on Saturday,
we were off to TV Centre to do it for real.
We
were shown to our own Dressing Rooms and Green Room. The girls
were then whisked off for a costume fitting:

Then it was time to go back to Studio 1 for a band rehearsal – it
was great to watch the other professionals and celebrities rehearsing.
We even gave them some tips!
Four of us then went to be filmed for the People’s Verdict
on It Takes Two:

And then came the highlight of the day (apart from the dancing,
of course!) – meeting some of Girls Aloud:

Before we knew it, it was 9.00 pm and almost time for the Results
Show. We had to wait backstage, and were so excited:

And then we were on – what a feeling to have danced live
in front of 9.1 million viewers! WOW!!
(view
their performance here)
At the end we scrambled to get changed and get photos and autographs
and Bruce thanked us for being on his show.

Then it was back to the hotel for a well-deserved party:
Our thanks go to all at EADA, BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing/BBC2’s
It Takes Two teams and Richard Miller for a truly memorable
experience.
