Re: 1st King’s Cup Thailand Open 2006 Championships

I am writing to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstance, our 1st King’s Cup Thailand Open 2006 Championships scheduled to be held on the 21st & 22nd October 2006, have to postpone indefinitely.

As you probably aware of the news in Thailand recently that there was an attempt to assassinate our prime minister prior to the up-coming new election in this October. The uncertainty of the general election and the unpredictable political atmosphere now as well as for security concerns; we decided to join other events organizers to either cancelled or postpone their activities, at least for the time being.

We have to wait for a more appropriate timing for this Royal Cup even to take place in the near future; hopefully sometime next year in 2007. The precious date yet to be verify later.

On behalf of the Thailand DanceSport Association and the 1st King’s Cup Thailand Open 2006 Championships organize committee; I wanted to apologize to all for the disappointment and inconvenience caused.

We have also asked Mr. Heinz Spaeker, to inform all the IDSF member regards on this matter in the IDSF website.
