Burned Out but not Down.
Report by Martyn

Out of adversity sometimes comes a ray of light that restores faith in human nature. For me, this is one such story:

In September Brenda Trim woke up one morning to find her car had been destroyed by mindless vandals.

"It wasnt the newest of cars but it got me and Sarah everywhere we needed to go." she said. " I felt unwell after bringing Sarah home from her lesson and I had forgotten to bring in all her practise wear and her dance shoes"

All of Sarah's Practice wear was destroyed in the fire. " I'm really hurt, why would some-one do this? What good has it done them?"

Thats a question that no one can really answer. But on hearing the news, other mums and dancers rallied 'round. Soon offers of spare kit and second hand shoes started to come in.

She said "As you can imagine it has been an upsetting day and night, but I would like to say on behalf of myself and Sarah, how very grateful we are for all the help and support that has been put our way. "

The members of Dancetalk got together and managed to raise a very generous £500 to help.

And that wasn't all. Crystal-Clover and Supadance got to hear of Sarah's plight and both immediately offered their support. Brenda was asked to give both companies a call.

" I spoke to Crystal Clover - They offered to send a couple of practice tops and two skirts, one for ballroom one for latin, and then said they'd have a rummage and send anything else that he thought may be useful"

The parcel from Crystal Clover arrived on Saturday "Sarah was absolutely thrilled" said Brenda.

When she called Supadance, she thought that they were offering to replace one pair of shoes for her. "I spoke to the MD and he asked me which pair I would like. I wasn't expecting a choice! So I said I didn't know and he told me to look at their web site and pick a couple of pairs one for ballroom one for latin and he'd send them to me. I was absolutely blown away!"

Sure enough a few days later the parcel from Supadance arrived as well.

Sarah now has all the kit she needs to get back to practice. - Don't leave it in the car next time! Oh and by the way if any car manufacturers are reading this.....hint

"I can not put into words the way im feeling right now" said Brenda "we are overwhelmed with the help and support we have been given ... its like angels sent from heaven, giving to someone in need you have never met, Sarah and myself will never forget the kindness shown us to help her continue with her dancing"

Says it all really
