This was the first time that I have had the pleasure in attending a competition for the youth age group on the Sunday circuit and it was fantastic. We arrived at about 11am, only just in time to get the kids registered and changed for their events, for the
EADA NSC Youth Standard and Latin.

Whilst they were busying themselves I managed to catch the end of the Juveniles and Juniors. Although not a large amount of entries they were none the less brilliant. The youth competitions were a little bit busier and some familiar faces were abound. No less than 13 couples were entered and the standard was extremely high. Double winners for the day were Kyle Taylor and Jourdan Stone and a well deserved double win it was.

During the rounds in was so good to see all the youth competitors mixing and having a good time. At one point when the first heat were dancing the ladies of the second heat were doing some kind of hand jive to the music. It was a party like atmosphere which was a joy to be a part of.

It was a very well timed and run competition with pre warning for all the events and some good music. The judges were very attentive to all the couples and they appeared to be enjoying it as much as the competitors. They were headed by the one and only Mr Gary Foster.
