Latin Formation Team World Championships

Saturday 1st December, Bremerhaven.

The XS Latin formation team from Cambridgeshire (trained by Bruce Lait & David Mallabone) and the Encore Formation Team from the Midlands (trained by Martin Cutler) represented England at the Latin Formation World Championships last weekend. This was the first time Encore had competed in an adult world formation championships following their impressing the judges at the British Closed with their Chicago routine a few weeks earlier. They were one of the youngest teams taking part and faced tough competition. The floor was very slippery and most teams experienced problems, but the two English teams gave good performances.

Unfortunately neither team were recalled to the semi final, but XS's experience helped their performance and their "On Broadway" routine received a mark back into the second round and they tied for 15th place out of a total of 22 teams. The final was made up of German, Russian and Lithuanian teams and two German teams tied for first place.
