New Dance Club -
Sport & Artistic Approach to Competition Dance Training:

We are pleased to provide the following details about the new Dance Club. We are starting this club in response to the high expenses which often prevent many children from taking up our much loved sport. Also, we believe there is an absence of Disciplined Russian Styled Training in London.

We plan to draw on dance principles and Body Conditioning from all dance disciplines including Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, African Dance, Gymnastics, as well as accepted traditional Ballroom and Latin principles.

Aim:
To produce high level dance competitors and performers, and encourage many new dancers to start learning and competing.

Venue:
Islington Arts & Media School
Turle Road, Finsbury Park, N4 (off Tollington Park)
(5 Minutes walk from Finsbury Park Underground)

Start Date:
Monday 30th July, 2007.

Days:
Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays

Time:
6.00pm - 7.30pm

Programme:

Each session will comprise Body Conditioning and Body actions for the first 45 minutes approx., and then the students will split into two Groups. Students would be given the choice to work with their partner, or join a group class if they have not yet formed a partnership, or are just beginning to learn to dance.

The Group Class will teach basic figures and actions. The Supervised Training will provide the opportunity to practice with partners and ask for help or coaching if they wish.

Children's Programme - Juniors & Juveniles

• 3 x 1.5 Hour Group Training Sessions Each Week
  Programme includes:
• Dance Sport Training By National Champions
• Coaches Qualified with IDTA &UKA
• Sessions every Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday
• Body Flexibility, Conditioning, Technique, Actions, Arm Styling, Coordination, Cross Training
• Geared Towards Competing & Performing
