What a feeling of excitement must have been felt by dancers and spectators as they approached the venue for their latest Juvenile and Junior EADA events.



The Winter Gardens in Weston Super Mare is an eye-catching and modern Conference & Entertainment Centre still keeping its 1920s charm and grandeur. There has been dancing competitions at this venue since 1953. It is here that the Professional – Amateur – Promoters’ – Association (PAPA) holds their annual Weston Super Mere International Dance Festival with dancing events taking place all through the weekend.

An impressive 54 Junior couples and near as many juveniles gathered in the beautiful oval Ballroom rearing to display their dancing talents in the great variety of Juvenile and Junior events. This they did with endless energy and enthusiasm.

The EADA Junior Latin event winners were Lawrence James & Jasmine Chan.

and the EADA Juvenile Ballroom winners were Luke Miller & Charlotte Plant


(who also won the Somerset Juvenile Latin Championship).There were many supporting Junior events; here are some of them.


The Somerset Junior Ballroom Championship won by Elliott Plate & Zoe Stacey.

. The Somerset Open 5-Dance Latin Championship won
by Jonas Kazlauskas & Sasha Golovchenko.

The Open 3-Dance Latin won by Aarron Feeney and Clara Roy.

and the Open 3-Dance Ballroom won by Michael Foskitt & Carla Garrett. (who also won both 12-14s Ballroom & Latin events).




Another competition full of excellent dancing and, in between rounds, some catching up with friends!
