Drainage charts and much much more! The Blocked Drain Corporation (BDC)  As you are probably aware, the Blocked Drain Corporation opposes any
form of drainage development in the UK that has not been initiated
by a registered professional. It has implemented a number of rules and regulations for you to follow. For example, under no circumstances are you allowed to operate a sink plunger without the express permission of a recognised professional. Our DIY plunging scheme is proving to be popular, so if you have any sink-clearance issues, why not register on our scheme? Use of a hose or other flush based clearance techniques can only be done if express permission has been given beforehand and 10% of the hose is retained for future use. Anyone who does so without permission will invalidate their drainage warrantee.  I am happy to inform you that under rule 18, "conditions that do not
effect drainage warranty"
you may make a professional drainage operative a cup of tea without
invalidating
your
guarantee. Obviously it would be useful if we were able to link to these rules on the Blocked Drain Corporation web site. Unfortunately it is unable to publish its own rules at this time. Age issues with drainage systems  As
you may be aware, the European system of dating the age of a pipe,
and the UK system are slightly different. The European system dates
according to the year of manufacture, and the UK system uses
the date of manufacture unless of course the drainage is to be linked
to a European outflow pipe, in which case the European system is used
- unless its Wednesday. We hope that the next meeting of the rules
committee will be able to sort this out.World Drainage Corporation versus In-Drain Sanitation and Flow  In
the international scene you will know of the on going dispute between
these two groups. The debate comes down to "is drainage an art
or a science" the WDC claim that Marcel Duchamp's Fountain pictured
here, plus any of the art of Tracey Enema proves it to be an Art, whereas
the IDSF claim that their recognition by the academy of science makes
