Royal Albert Hall

When Martin and Carol asked the formation team if they wanted to perform at the Royal Albert Hall the kids all jumped at the chance, and who wouldn't. Not knowing quite what to expect we arose early to meet up at the studio to drive in convoy from Solihull to London. It was a happy journey and the beginning of a fantastic day.

What lay ahead of us was beyond all our expectations as we knew that there were going to be hundreds of keep fit fanatics showing us what they do but choreographed into precise routines. Teams from around the British Isles and also from Germany showed us how we could have fun and keep fit at the same time.

The capacity crowds cheered as each team took to the floor but not even us as parents were ready for the roar that the Encore Formation Team received as they performed their famous Chicago routine. Louder than the cheers at Blackpool the kids showed the crowds why they have been crowned Junior and Adult formation champions of 2007.

This was to be the dress rehearsal for the up coming Open British Championships and what a way to do it.

(EADA is part of the EMDP (Excercise Movement & Dance Partnership) who recently held this one off show at the Royal Albert Hall. All the member organisations use this event to showcase their work and EADA asked Martin & Carol Cutler if the Encore Latin team would be prepared to to represent us and we are very pleased they agreed.

Steve & Tina Holes were lucky enough to attend on behalf of EADA and were delighted by the comments of those representing the other organisations present who were full of praise for Encore, the team were a great showcase for themselves, Martin & Carol and to English Amateur dancing.) ED
